Derek was a cherished son, brother, and friend, known for his infectious smile, warmth, and kindness. His family—parents Jonathan Scholl and Natalie Mancuso, and brothers Parker and Carson—were the center of his world. He brought joy and energy to everyone he met, always offering a helping hand and making others feel welcome.

A loyal friend and compassionate individual, Derek’s love for life and his generosity touched many. His passing has deeply affected the community, and an outpouring of love and support has followed, including a GoFundMe page to assist his family with funeral expenses.

A viewing and memorial will be held on Thursday, May 29, from 6-9 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2784 E. Square Lake Rd, Troy, MI. Friends and family are invited to come together, share memories, and celebrate Derek’s life.
