Shooting Jackson MI: One person dead, four others wounded in shooting

Jackson, MI (WTVB) – May 16, 2025 – A shooting late Friday night in Jackson County resulted in one man’s death and three others being critically wounded. The incident took place at 103 Lincoln Court and prompted an immediate response from local law enforcement and emergency teams.

Around 9:30 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety were called to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 27-year-old man from Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the remaining three victims, all male, have not yet been disclosed. They were transported in critical condition to Henry Ford Hospital, which was briefly put on lockdown as a safety measure.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the shooting, but no suspects have been identified, and the motive behind the violence remains unclear.
