She was later inducted into the athletic halls of fame at both Utah Valley and Weber State.

After completing medical school at Kansas City University College of Medicine, Dr. Ferrin returned to Utah to complete her residency in family medicine at McKay-Dee Hospital. She went on to practice medicine at several clinics, concluding her career at Tanner Clinic.
