Reanna Hammad Death, Obituary – Missing Orland Park Woman Found Dead in Woods

Authorities discovered the body of 21-year-old Reanna Hammad early Sunday morning in a wooded area within unincorporated Palos Township, Cook County Forest Preserve officials confirmed.

Reanna’s body was located around 5:50 a.m. in Spears Woods by a search team. The Forest Preserves of Cook County police are leading the investigation, while the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the cause of death.

Reanna was reported missing Friday after her mother last saw her at their home around 11 a.m. that day. Evidence indicates she may have been near Spears Woods later on Friday, close to West 87th Street and South LaGrange Road.

At the time she disappeared, Reanna was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was wearing a black sweater, black pants, and a black hijab.

The Orland Park Police Department expressed their condolences to Reanna’s family in a statement Sunday evening, noting that no foul play is currently suspected. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation.
