Kelly Seputis Obituary, Death – Kelly Seputis West Carrollton OH Cause of Death
It is with deep sorrow that the West Carrollton School District announces the passing of Kelly Seputis, a beloved educator who touched the lives of countless students and colleagues over her two-decade career. Mrs. Seputis passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025.
Kelly began her tenure with West Carrollton Schools in 2005, teaching language arts, social studies, and creative writing at the Middle School. In 2018, she transitioned to the Intermediate School, where she continued to inspire fifth-graders with her passion for teaching and her belief in their potential. Her signature greeting, “Good morning, scholars!” reflected her commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning.
Beyond her classroom, Kelly was known for her innovative teaching methods, including the “Living Museum” projects and “Poetry in Motion” units, which engaged students in creative and meaningful ways. She also initiated the annual “Gratitude Journals” tradition, encouraging students to express appreciation and kindness within the community.
Colleagues described Kelly as the “sunshine captain” of the staff, always bringing positivity and support to her peers. Her dedication extended to mentoring first-year teachers and leading the building’s equity team, where she worked to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
In honor of Kelly’s memory, the West Carrollton Schools community is invited to wear green, her favorite color, on Monday. Counselors will be available to support staff and students as they navigate this difficult time.
Kelly Seputis will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of compassion, creativity, and dedication to education will continue to inspire future generations. The West Carrollton School District extends heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones during this time of loss.
